Twitter updates for 2008-05-14
Posted on May 14, 2008 by mogrify- Just put a lot of strawberries from the garden in the freezer for winter. #
- Have only touched a small fraction of the patch. It's been a good year for strawberries. #
- Loading up the thumb drive with a fresh set of music. It's great to have the Radiohead set in MP3, now I can be there whenever I want. #
- Love this Twitter idea: http://tinyurl.com/ytq9qt When you really, really need everyone to know what you're doing, right now. #
- @pearbudget Moving up the priority list a bit, eh? #
- Wandering off to see if I can convince Emily to watch Blade Runner. #
- Popcorn may often be strategically deployed for this purpose. #
- That did not go well. Am still making popcorn, but Blade Runner has become Desperate Housewives. FAIL. #
- @charliepark LMFAO. And I do not use that acronym lightly. Sir, you win the internets. #
- It's pretty cool that Photoshop Express can pull in Flickr photos. It can even edit them and send them back. #
- But I have 9,973 photos on Flickr. Am I supposed to fetch them all, every time? Seriously? #
- Coworker is out, and the coffee pot is in his office. Which is locked. Grrrr. #
- Trying to get my command-line Twitter reader to allow posting as well! #
- Awesome, it worked! #
- Fiddling about with an ASP.NET application I'm working on. #
- Got a bunch of free pizza at a work function. Score! #
- Beginning to get the hang of Mercurial - I'm using it for a couple of projects now and it seems good. #
- Dear Visual Studio: I am a good programmer. I know what I'm doing. Stop breaking my code. Please. #
- @brandon_ellis Not in a while; I'll check 'em out again, though. Probably will have to stick with VS for some things that involve others. #
- @brandon_ellis With friends like these, who needs enemies?
# - Boy, Austria has been getting a lot of bad press lately. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7400767.stm #
- Countries having a difficult year: China, Austria, Iraq, Pakistan, Myanmar. Others? #
- @brandon_ellis I couldn't believe that VS2005 can't target .NET 1.x. I was floored. I see SD can do that just fine, plus Mono. Nice. #
- @jmlumpkin Yeah, I read that… but in state gov we make do with old stuff. Office 2k3, VS2k5, Exchange 2k, SQL Server 2k. #
- @jmlumpkin Oh, well I feel better then. I thought everyone was cutting-edge. Must be MS marketing doing its job
# - @vmarinelli She's probably new. Has a more experienced coworker hovering on the mute button and showing her how to do stuff. #
- @thebrowncoat I guess you could say that
Though in comparison to, say, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, it's not that bad… # - I never did get coffee this morning. I hope that doesn't come back to bite me. #
- @vmarinelli Comfort is great, I've been to the Portsmouth one. Hard for a veg like me though - ham in everything
# - I've been twittering from my command line app all day. It's got its foibles, but is generally really solid. #
- The feel is kind of like trying to do IRC over a high-latency connection. #
- Lamb of God just came up from my thumb drive. Love that. Can't wait to start telecommuting so I can turn it up louder
# - Installing VMWare. I wanna see what these two cores can do with these two gigs of RAM. #
- @kamenlee It's an HP/Compaq nc8430. Issued by, as they like to call it, the "VITA/NG Partnership." #
- @kamenlee Yeah, I feel the same way. But it's way better than my old work box. And I can take it home, now, too! #
- @vmarinelli You should start acting unruly. That's what they get for closing the kitchen. #
