Twitter updates for 2008-06-24
Posted on June 24, 2008 by mogrify- @charliepark I do them quickly but completely - nose almost to floor, full arm extension. But I dunno what's right. #
- @charliepark Hit me. #
- The Taliban sells us drugs that make us complacent & eventually kill us, then they use the money to kill more of us. How are we still here? #
- A relatively good description of this day would be: "oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap." #
- Watering my office fern with cold coffee. If it dies… well, then I'll know. #
- @peeppeep Are your leaves pale? Because the pH is probably too low. #
- I'd be going all PC LOAD LETTER right now, except I'm dealing with software. You can't take software to a field and beat the shit out of it. #
- Chile has permanently banned whaling. Maybe Twitter should look into that. #
- I've just confirmed that you can, in fact, take software *developers* to a field and beat the shit out of them. So there's that. #
- Barack Obama is speaking about energy in Las Vegas. _Las Vegas_. #
- @jmlumpkin I decline to respond to your request on the grounds that I may incriminate myself. #
- Dammit, I just deleted my Twitter logging script like some kind of idiot. Damn, damn, damn. Today sucks. #
- Oh, I still have the .pyc. Lemme see if I can decompile that. #
- Awesome. Decompiled the .pyc on http://www.depython.net/. Works beautifully. Okay, svn add && svn commit. #
- When a Twitter API call fails (usually with 502: Bad Gateway), it shouldn't count against my limit. Just sayin'. #

- Ironically, Twitter ate that last tweet the first time around. #
- Fire alarm. Wonderful. Fuck this day. #
- False alarm. Of course. #
- @korym Death Cab For Cutie. No contest. #
- Had to evacuate the building anyway. Alarm was only on for a few seconds. But protocol is protocol. #
- Safely at home. There is no crappy enterprise software to menace me here. #
- Realized why it's so quiet at home: I've been listening to a coworker's hacking cough all day. Twice I checked to see if my headlamp was on. #
- GRTC has been ranked the best transit company of its size in the nation. What unspeakably horrible shape the rest of the nation must be in! #
- This is my two thousandth tweet. Thousandth - now there's a word with its own built-in speech impediment. #
- @trippfenderson I saw it in the Times-Dispatch: http://tinyurl.com/5886an It's by the American Public Transportation Association. #
- @mn0001 Except possibly for Name Most Likely To Be Confused With An Infection Or Body Part. #
- The first reason I hate GRTC is that driving next to a bus feels suicidal, even if it isn't. #
- The second reason I hate GRTC is that there aren't any bus stops near me, and the Park-and-Ride is further away than work. #
- I could take the bus to work; I'd just have to drive further than I do now, and then sit on a bus for two extra hours a day. Transit FAIL. #
- Quick poll: do you love your blogging platform? Tell me which, and why. Gracias. #
- Crash from the next room. Yeah, I'll have to clean that up later. #
- Nifty: the state of Florida is buying 187,000 acres of Everglades land from U.S. Sugar to return it to its natural state. http://is.gd/F4H #
- @SueCline Thanks! Anyone else love their blogging platform? #
- Feeling a little lowbrow. Maybe I'll go watch a car crash montage video. #
- @mogrifette is stuck at a train crossing on Hungary Rd.. She's hungry, so it's kind of appropriate. #
- @jmlumpkin Yeah, I bet. You can hear it for miles and miles, too. Must be loud where you are. #
