I'm your host, mogrify, known to "actual people" in "real life" as Tony Gambone. I am usually to be spotted in the Richmond, Virginia area of the United States.

I'm a web developer, and I'm hopelessly addicted to coffee and writing various kinds of code. I keep another blog over at code.mogrify.org where I put all the geeky stuff. The site you're on now, blogrify, is for everything else. I think non-geeks will thank me for keeping the two separate.

I used to run a blog called twig with my wife, under a pseudonym (Michael - my middle name). I found pseudonymous blogging to be rather difficult - it's hard to say what you think without revealing any identifying information whatsoever. So this time I'm for real. If you used to look at twig, thanks, and welcome. Sorry it died out.

I also run HenricoCrime.org, which shows police incidents in my home county on a map.

I'm 27 and a father of one (soon to be two). Fatherhood is even better than everyone says it is.

I'm writing this page first, so I don't know what I'm going to blog about yet, but I suspect politics may come up. I imagine everyone I know would appreciate it if I found another outlet for the ranting. What better outlet than a blog…

The layout of this site originated from CSS Tinderbox. It uses the Wordpress blogging platform, with various plugins by really talented people. I use Bob Osola's pngfix.js to help a bad browser use a great image format. All of these things are very nifty.
